Half-way done!

I can´t believe I´ve been here for more than 2 weeks now. It´s going by so fast, but I guess that´s what happens when you´re having a great time. This past weekend was really fun and a lot more relaxing than last weekend. I finally got to sleep in one day (Saturday), which was much needed.

On Saturday I woke up, got ready, and took the bus to Alajuela where I met my friend Lori. We got on a bus to San Jose, which is the capital of Costa Rica. We´d heard that San Jose is not safe, scary, etc, so we were prepared for it to be a little sketchy. The bus ride was only about 20 minutes, and when we arrived we got off the bus in San Jose and headed toward the busy area. There were tons of people out, and it wasn´t really scary at all. We went to the Museum of Gold and the National Theater. Both were really nice. The museum of gold was really more like a muesum of the history to CR. Pretty cool, and we spent the most time there. After the museum, we went to have lunch at some sports bar where everyone was watching the World Cup. So we watched for a bit, had lunch, and headed out. After a bit of unsuccessful shopping, we got back on the bus and headed back to Alajuela. When I got home on Saturday I hung out with my host family. They are so much fun! We played Uno and War. The little boy and his cousin were really into it!

Sunday was such a wonderful day too! First we went to a Crocodile Tour, where we were on a boat looking at all these crocodiles. It was okay, not my favorite thing I´ve done so far, but I guess it was cool to get so close to all those crocodiles! Plus, I got some pretty cool pictures. Next we went to some big resort on the beach. We were so lucky because, it has rained EVERY day since I´ve been here, and guess what -- it was so beautiful at the beach all day on Sunday!!! No rain!!!

So this week started my 3rd week of classes, and I really love my teacher for this week. She is really experienced, and very intense. I think I´ve going to get a lot out of this week. She made each of the 3 of us talk in spanish for 15 minutes today. It was so hard!

Well I guess that´s it for now. Hope all is well. I´ve had enough of this slooowww computer! I miss my laptop!!!
